Set of 16 illustrations based on the Minari soundtrack by Emile Mosseri. In 2022, my Spotify wrapped said it was my most listened to album! That’s research for you. The nice thing about this project was that it didn’t need to be based on the film, and the songs were open to interpretation. I thought a lot about a sense of place and homeland when painting these, and how sometimes things will grow in the least likely of spots despite everything. I also thought about reasons why keeping plants alive in an apartment could be difficult.
